Total newby here, ok here is what happened, my wife was driving the jag to her mum's house and pulled up outside and went in for a cup of tea. When she came back out the car would crank but not start. I have replaced egr valve, fuel rail, glow plugs, fuel pump, air filter, fuel filter, mass air intake, checked all fuses had 3 mechanics out to it and still nothing, no codes showing up on diagnosis machine. It' been off the road for a year now and I haven' got a clue what to do with it, crank sensor has been checked by mechanics as well and they are stumped by it. Bare in mind I haven't got a clue about cars so put it into the simplest way you can please. Any help would be greatly appreciated before I send it to the scrap yard which I really really don't want to do

 

Did you check the immobilizer switch and the ignition fuse?
