Default X Type 2.1 V6 Battery Light On...Alternator or Faulty Cabling?

Hi! Used engineering test(found on this site)showed voltage reading of 11.2-11.8,battery light mostly on Is this more likely to be pos cable resistance or alternator fault? Just in case, what has to be removed to extract alternator on V6 2.1 manual model? Thank-you....

More than likely the problems with low voltage is bad cables...I would replace ALL the Battery cables first....Mine was doing the same thing, until I replaced them and system returned to normal voltage levels.

I had the same problem. You might want to try removing and cleaning the cable connectors to the battery first. I cleaned mine and replace the ground cable connector and no more problem. Might work for you too.

Good advice arvern...But to add..the problem is usually with the connecter making good connection to the cable..one can tell, if there is signs of heat stress and discoloration, along with insulation brittleness... I've seen here somewhere where folks removed the old cable ends and replaced it and that solved the problems as well..
