X-Type 3.0 sportwagon automatic no reverse

X-Type 3.0 sportwagon automatic no reverse
The other day I put my Automatic Sportwagon Jaguar X-Type 3.0 in reverse, it made a loud Klunk noise and now the car will not reverse. Drives fine just will not go in reverse. Any ideas on what this might be?

and you will learn about the mistaken identity reverse band bolt.

And you will find the TB of the same name, explaining the removal of the tranny (which I just did myself and will have to AGAIN soon).
The TB was apparently written, as some JF506E seem to have a problem with the durability of a reverse clutch piston, which also could be your issue...
Note: It's no fun to remove and reattach the tranny...
