I have a 2009 X Type (2.2 diesel) and have a few problem with it recently.

My most recent is with the alarm which has gone off two or three times in the middle of the night five or six hours after it has been parked. I can reset it by pointing the key-fob through the window and this works (but it sometimes comes back on again). As it's parked in a very quiet area I am sure no one has tampered with the car.

I thought it might have been the battery but this was replaced a month ago (the old one showed it had a 127% charged-fuller than full) so it can't be that.

Any advice?

A lot of cars have an alarm switch under the bonnet, this can give problems.
