Default X Type Climate Control

Thanks for the join. I know there are many threads on this topic but cant see one like mine. My climate control works fine on starting the car. approx 10 minutes later the screen goes blank, and I think the aircon goes off with it. Staring the car again wakes it up again but the same fault reoccurs some time later. I have a replacement (second hand) CCM to try at the weekend.

The car has been re gassed, a new drier, new pressure switch. Fuses look OK but I don't think it could be that given the system resets on a start up.

Full reset does not help.

When the air con works it is nice and cold and all other functions work fine.

The fault started some time ago 9at least a year)with intermittent cut out of the air con on really hot days 40 deg C +

I am worried if the CCM replacement fixes it that some other fault will destroy the new CCM.

I agree with New Mexico (although maybe in a smaller font) It has the earmarks of a relay fault- over-temp, or high pressure side outside of parameters? Although that doesn't explain the display blank-out fully. Does the entire screen go blank?

I replaced the CCM, seems to have fixed the problem of the blank screen. I will wait for the next really hot day before I claim I have fixed the problem perminantly. Thanks.
