I'm sure there are tons of posts on here, but in light of time I'll tell you my story. 05 3.0. Cranked several times, did not fire at all. While cranking I floored the pedal several times and it fired right off. No sputter like flooding or fumes. Seemed as though it was not getting any fuel in the beginning of the process. This is a daily driver and has never done this. Been driving it today and started several times since with no issue. Don't want to leave my wife stranded just trying to be proactive. Any help? Thanks

 

Sounds like it was flooded.

Foot to floor is WOT and tells car not to add fuel, so cranking lets the flooding be swept out if you stick at it.

(Not a new item BTW.)
