Ok I'm slowly working through my list of 'niggles' on my new to me X-type - and I'm a bit stuck on this one. The rear wiper make a fairly loud CLUNK exactly mid way through it's motion (as the wiper blade goes past 12 o clock.)

I can see exactly how this mechanism works, and none of it appears to be worn to a degree that looks like it would cause a problem

I have put a new wiper arm and blade on it, as I suspected the old one might not have been gripping on the splines too well, and slipping, but still the same noise.

I'm also not convinced I'm getting the full range of motion in it, it wipes from roughly 10 o clock to 2 o clock, as opposed to 9 o clock - 3 o clock.

Anyone experienced a similar problem to this?
