X Type Estate Tail gate opens on its own!

X Type Estate Tail gate opens on its own!

Hi,

My x type estate tailgate has started opening when I start the car up.
Has anybody else suffered with this.
Is it a documented fault?

Hmmm...can't say I've heard of it nor have I heard from anyone on here with an estate wagon though either! Any pics?

never seen it.. make sure your not holding the unlock button as your tunring the ignition..

I sometimes press one of the buttons when I am turning the key.. I never feel it, but I know I am doing it.

I have seen that problem once. Trunk open harness was shorted to D2B wake up wire. Momentary signal is why it only opened trunk when key was first cycled.
