Default X type has fuel pouring into the exhaust system

My 2004 X type 3.0 has fuel pouring into the exhaust system and had a mechanic look at it and he said he has never seen anything like this happening however he is just a small town but really good mechanic I have used for years. Can anybody tell me whats going on? The car has always been on top and beyond for servicing. Thank you

Maybe a bit more info.

How are you seeing this?
In too or on too the exhaust?
Is the motor running or is the key just on?
Is the oil way high on the dip stick?

From the sounds of things, you have a stuck open fuel injector. You should also be getting a P030x (where x is the cylinder in question) code and possibly a too rich code on one side of the engine. I would also suspect that your check engine light is flashing based on what you are saying.

I came home one night and ran fine when parked and the next day I try to start it and would just try to start but after about a minute it would start but ideal rough and shut off and gas laying under the motor on the driver side. I had a new fuel pressure installed a couple weeks prior to this happening so I had it towed to the mechanic that works on my vehicles and he told me the fuel is literally dumping into the exhaust. the motor is running at the time its pouring into the exhaust. The couple weeks before this he put a new valve cover gasket on and a new oil pan gasket and the fuel pressure sensor and it ran like a dream for a couple weeks until this happened. About the oil high on the dipstick I don't know I will need to look at it . I love this car and its immaculate interior and exterior. Its been my baby forever and don't want to say goodbye so I'm hoping I can get some help with the issue.
