Someone decided they didn't want to wait at a red light and backed up - right into my X-type. He admitted fault and we exchanged info and I got his insurance. After driving off the car overheated and when I opened the hood there was coolant sprayed all over the engine compartment.

I had her towed to a body shop recommended by the local Jag dealer and after the tear down they came to an estimate that was high enough that the at-fault driver's insurance company decided to total the car.

I can't complain too much (I'll be paid the FMV of the car, which was more than 2x what i paid for it ) but I'm presently looking for another car. I have my eye on a 2002 S-type sport, anyone have thoughts on that model and year and common failings in it that I should look for?
