Welcome to the forum Lancealot61,

I've moved your question from General Tech Help to X-Type forum. Members here with the same model will be able to help.

Lancealot61, We are always ready to help. But, we need a little bit more information.
What is the year and Model of your X-type.

When you say setting it on warm, do you mean selecting a temperature and having it on automatic.

What kind of controls do you have. E.G. nav/no nav

If you go to the user control panel you can add the Model Year info to your signature so that it will always be there.

Hey Lance - Mine does this as well. If I'm driving at a moderate steady speed- perfectly warm air from all areas. However if I slow down or stop - the warm quickly turns Arctic. I'm told currently this is due to my complete power source being intermediately surged. (radio goes out, clock, ac display etc) anyhoo, different problem. But relating to the AC they say once they resolve my power surge the ac censor/module "door's" ??? will have to be reset...

Start with the basics: Is coolant fresh and level correct? Is car battery in serviceable condition? Is CEL (Check Engine Light) on?
