I just purchase a 2006 X 3.0 wth 16000 miles. I drove it 160 miles from the dealers to my house and when I got home the engine was making a knocking sound and a small amount of smoke was coming from the exhaust. This car is beautiful and drives well but I now wonder if I am in for trouble. It is still under factory warranty and I bought the over priced extended warranty because I want to take care of this car.
I wanted one of these cars for a long time and read many positive customer reviews before purchasing but I am concerned now. I just didn't expect this wth so few miles.
Any suggestions about what this could be? How do find a good local tech?

Just wanted to follow up. I took the car to a Certified Jaguar shop and the problem has been corrected. They couldn't find the problem at first , but kept trying until they figured it out. I was impressed. They were very professional and respected my car as if it was their own. I have never experienced this type of service from a car repair shop before.
