My Office Manager bought an 03 X Type last month and all of a sudden the Nav screen is black. As I have zero experience with Jag's, and not much more with nav systems in general, has anyone experienced a similar issue or heard of a fix? We have checked and replaced the fuses the manual states cover the nav, still nothing. Even tried unhooking the battery to see if that might reset the whole thing. Still black. Everything else works, just no screen image.

Any assistance would be much appreciated! Nice site as well!

I pray often that my nav does not go blank.

Common FJT.... find this man a hidding fuse....

 

LCD screens.. touch or otherwise need a mini flourescent lamp to make them work.
Try to shine a bright light at several angles at the screen and see if the info is there.
also, does it beep when you touch it? do the other buttons around the screen beep when you touch them?

does the climate work, does the radio work?

 

No beeps, barks or yippees lol. Not a darn thing. Climate control and radio do still work.
