X-Type popping sound on tick over - help

Hi I've just recently bought a 2002 X-Type 2.1 v6 and it's developed a popping noise on tick over and has started a slight misfire which has pit the engine management light on along with the Cruise control not available warnin lights - these flash or stay on while the car is running and although it drives pretty well it shudders when I hit 3000 Revs in 3rd 4th or 5th gears ....does anyone have any ideas as I love the car and it's recently had a full dealer service , new exude battery and MAF air flow sensor.
