Default X-Type Rear Parking Module

Hi Jaguar Forum,

I have read posts and threads and I have know joined this forum.

Help Please:

I replaced the rear parking module which had water damage in my 2005 X-Type estate 2.2 diesel.

The auto electrician confirmed the new rear parking module is okay and not faulty, but the rear paring sensors still do not work !!

If anyone can offer some advice and / or have a copy of the electrical wiring plan of the car, I would be very appreciative of the help.

Thank you

edwin

Welcome to the forum Edwin,

I've copied your question from New Member Area - Intro a MUST to X-Type forum. Members here with the same model will be able to help.

Arrow X-type estate rear parking sensor.

I have a similar car to the original poster, but the V6 petrol version.
My parking sensors do not work and, probably not entirely coincidentally, my reversing lights don't work either ! I have, of course, checked the obvious - bulbs and fuses.
Can I ask if the O.P.'s reversing lights are functioning correctly ?
Obviously I will read replies to this thread with interest - not much point in me starting another one. I will also post any solution I find too.
Good luck to us all !

Default X Type Reversing Module

Hi Graham & Norri,

Thank you very much for your help..

My reversing lights are working, so I am surprised the reversing sensors still do not work with a new reversing module fitted.

Thanks

ed

Keplaa,
Your fault is almost certainly the reversing light switch on top of the gearbox (visible just behind the battery tray. This switch powers both lights and sensors and is a common failure (and dead easy and cheap to replace )
