X Type trans problem
Hi fellas. I have a 2.5 L X type automatic. I had some kind of intake leak so I decided to remove the intake manifold and Replace everything. A list of what was replaced: Spark plugs, lower intake gaskets, Upper intake gaskets, Throttle body gasket, IMT gaskets, brake booster pipe, PCV hose, Injector gaskets.I started the car and it fired right up. I went to take it for a test drive and I have no forward drive. I put the handle in D, 2, 3, 4. Nothing. Did I forget to reconnect something?

Well, problem solved, I think. I put a code reader after starting her up this morning. Tranny ineffective. Code read # 1 cyl misfire, #5 open circuit on injector. The injector connectors are quite brittle and a few broke. So engine ran poorly. But ran. I cleared all codes and the transmission started to work. Awesome! I ordered a new set of injector connectors and see if this solves my problem. We'll see.

I installed a new set of injector connectors and she fired right up. Purrs like a kitten. Backed her out of the garage, forward drive and nothing no forward drive again. So I cleared the codes again like before and still nothing. I shut engine off and cleared codes again. Turned the key and now the starter doesn't work. Not even a click.I tried to do a hard reset on the computer by disconnecting the battery leads, crossed the wires, left battery disconnected for an hour, still nothing. Anyone have any ideas? Oh, and before I got out of the car and turned on the alarm and then turned it off. The only thing I can think of is by coincidence the started went bad. Or a starter relay. I checked all fuses in engine compartment. But usually when a starter goes bad at least you hear a click.
