I am interested in getting X-type 2008 but here in Dubai not many people are interested in engine capacity while I definitely am.

Can you help me identify one: SAJAE52N08YJ32279

It's probably 2.5 or 3.0 but none online decoders work.

That should be a 2.1 V6 (officially 2.0 but in reality 2099cc so 2.1), FWD with an automatic gearbox. The VIN would also suggest basic-level trim, but I'm not sure how accurately that information applies to the later model years.

If you have photos of the car you're looking for;
2 exhaust pipes visible: 2.5 or 3.0 V6 AWD
1 exhaust pipe visible: 2.1 V6 FWD
No exhaust pipe visible, no cutout on the rear valance: 2.0 or 2.2 diesel FWD

 

I have a 2.1 FWD petrol and the exhaust is not visible

 

I'm never too impressed with online decoders. Most of them only get as far as make and model.

Hmm...now that I had a look, I didn't really find 2.1 V6 models with a visible exhaust. I have, however, at times seen X-Types with single exhausts and they were all either debadged or badges as the 2.1, maybe they changed it either way at some point? Then again, I haven't looked at them extensively so it's possible they were all custom jobs...
