francis, this can be caused by many things. With displayed, you should also be getting the check engine light. I would recommend having the codes read at a local auto parts place (they will normally do it for free) and then tell us what code(s) you are getting. From there, we can narrow things down. Right now, based on this information, too many possibilities to start telling you where to look without looking at a ton of stuff.
