I have 2004 xtype and jaguar sent me card saying my vin # qualifies for free fix anybody know what that could be?

 

If no one else got one, you might have to verify that it is legit?
My dealer in St. Louis went bankrupt so I might not get a notice.

 

If it is from Jaguar I would imagine there would be a recall number associated with it or some additional information other than you qualify for a "free fix". Is it from Jaguar or from a local dealer? Can you elaborate more on just what you received? With the little detail you provided I am getting the feeling this is more like some kind of offer to get you in for some free "inspection" with the hope you will get you car serviced. If this was a new recall of some sort I'm sure we would have heard about it before notices would get sent out. Need more info.

 

There are no new recall campaigns listed for the 2004 X-Type on the NHTSA.gov website.

The last recall was R955 that began on 10/2004.
