Xtype classic estate acceleration sluggish from 60mph? FIXED
Hi, Just about to purchase an 04 Xtype classic 2.0 CDI estate from a family member who has had the car from new and serviced on time every time, however they are telling me that they have noticed that the acceleration has become sluggish from 60mph onwards?
The car is OK accelerating up to 60mph but then becomes more sluggish trying to reach greater speeds? Does anyone have any information they would like to share on the possible causes?
Could this be an induction hose problem or something, i don't know as not owned a Jaguar before?
Kind Regards,
Steve...

Hi Steve, sorry you didn't get any responses......unusual?
The only reason I can think of is that there isn't too many deisel owners here, although that number is certainly growing for sure.
I really appreciate you coming back with your fix on this issue.
I will now add "FIXED" to the title of your thread.....thjis way, anyone with simlar issues will see instantly what the problem is and that there's a fix for it
Hope you continue to enjoy the forum Steve
