Update car will start with a booster pack on but it's strange as the battery is brand new 🤔

PLug, just because the battery is new does not mean that it is at 100%. First put the battery on a charger and make sure that it is charged to 100%. Then attempt your troubleshooting again. I think you will find that your issue is now resolved.

Thank you thermo ,just took car for a drive and all seems ok after initially jump starter pack don't know what it is about the x type Jag but just love the drive of them ,had Mondeo before this and for some reason the xtype is cheaper to run on fuel than the Mondeo and it's the same engine and also cheaper to insure and tax 🤔
