Default Xtype rearend and a floor jack

I have a floor jack and want to lift the backend up (removing both rear wheels) on my Xtype '04. Where is the safest place to lift from? The transfer case is tempting but I do not know if that can take the weight. Any suggestions? I do have jack stands to place on each side after its up...

Sparky, if you look just in front of the rear wheels, you will see a flat spot under the car with some fuel lines/e-brake line running near it. This is where you want to jack the rear end of the car from. Then you can slide the jackstands under the rear spindle and hold things up from there. Or you can slide the jackstands in towards the center of the car, under the rear differential.

Just don't put the jackstand on the vertical support running between the spindle and where the jack is. That bar is not designed to take the weight that way. You WILL!!!!! twist it something fierce and end up getting a new one.
