Default '17 XE 35T Black Design Add-on & Reupholstering

Hello,

I found a '17 XE 35T on a used car lot within a few miles of me after months of searching for one in good shape.

I was really impressed with it after a test drive, but I am very unimpressed with the color combination. If I were to buy it, I'd pay it off and then do a little bit of work to "make it mine".

My question to the community:
- Has anyone ever had the black design package applied as aftermarket?
(Exterior photos attached which swap chrome for piano-black finish)
- What would it generally cost to have this car reupholstered (currently tan leather, wanting to go to black)
- Has anyone ever replaced the door inserts (photo attached)
- Has anyone had luck with seat swaps from say a salvaged XE?

Thanks in advance!

Black Design Package: Replaces front grille

Black Design Package: Replaces side vent & window trim

Door Insert: Can this be reupholstered or replaced?

Buy the car in the color combo and packages you want. Changing all of that is a fools errand IMO

The chrome trims (doors, "vents", grill) you can easily vinyl wrap in black for cheap. As far as interior goes... I second buying the color combo you want. You'll end up spending more $$$ and time than it's worth. I made some mistakes when buying my 17 35t because I did not research enough.

Will you end up wanting the R-sport rocker panels? Do you care for the nicer R-sport dash? Does it have keyless entry (Prestige or R-sport)? In touch Pro or Standard? etc.

Look for the black pack package in mina gallery.....you can also order the OEM black pack from dealership. There is one in Florida that has really low prices for OEM parts....i think its called Palm Springs Jaguar...or something like that. The door cards...i would find a really really good upholstery shop...but i agree with the others...you won't get a seamless look without doing the entire interior and that would cost about 10k...not really worth it IMHO.

It is now January 2021, but have you purchased one yet? If not, this one is pretty nice and seems to fit the bill. Low mileage and pretty well equipped. https://www.carvana.com/vehicle/1617107
