I picked up my new car today. Dark sapphire blue, silver finish venom wheels, and black design package outside, jet/blue leather, satin burl ash and technology package inside. The car is a work of art!

I'll add black rubber strips to protect the front and rear bumpers (it's a city car... Usually garaged but occasionally parked on the "mean streets" of Brooklyn).

Replaces an 8-year old bmw 335xi which was a really sweet car... Gave me no trouble whatsoever. Prior to that I had an Audi S4... Also a very good car, again for 8 years. I can only hope the XE holds up as well as its predecessors.

 

Welcome to the forum and congratulations on your XE R Sport. I have had mine for two months and am really enjoying it. I am all black and love the way it looks and drives. I came from a S4 also. I love the way the XE R sounds and drives in S and performance setting. Enjoy.

Did you test drive other cars before buying the XE?

I'd like to say I did, but I did not. The XE was the only new car on my list...

How is it on NYC roads though?

 

I've been traveling, so I haven't driven it much, but so far, I think it absorbs the potholes and road join bumps as well as or better than did my BMW 335xi.

 

Same here. Owned the car a week and driven it about 15 miles...

 

Brand New XE is a great pickup. Congrats
