First time user, be gentle.....

This is driving me insane as i can't seem to find an answer online. Maybe i'm looking in the wrong place or maybe i'm just dumb.....
Anyways, I can't figure out if my XE should have a SIM card module to enable WiFi Hotspot etc....
I have the InControl Touch system. I can't see any SIM module in the boot/trunk of the car and there's no SIM card slot in the centre console.
I have an InControl Protect and Remote subscription and can unlock and locate the car remotely so there's definitely a connection to the outside world going on.

Any idea what/where else i could be checking?
I have the VIN but Topix shows me a whole load of nothing SAJAB4CN6HCP04325

My 2017 XE has a micro sim card slot in the center console, together with two USB slots. The XE should enable a 3G connection via ATT, assuming ATT still offers 3G service.

 

This is what i have in the centre console. The SIM slot must have been an addition after mine. Thanks. Dave

Hi Dave -

In the 2017 MY (North America) - WiFi was an available option on the Premium and Prestige models, and included with the R-Sport model.

InControl Protect and Remote were included with all models. They are not dependent on the WiFi option.

Sounds like your car doesn’t have the option.
