My understanding was that the XE will be available in the UK in 2015, and the US in 2016. If that is the case, wouldn't the XE be in UK showrooms now?

When should we expect a "First Drive" review from on of the popular online magazines?

It is frustrating that they debuted the car so far in advance of it being available here in the USA. I'm hoping that I will still be interested in the car by the time it's in show rooms, but I may be already experiencing XE fatigue.

 

I agree totally. It just struck me that it's the same debacle they faced with the XJC in the seventies. Debuted the car in '73 but none available until '75. As stunning as the car was, it only lasted 3 years....

 

Releasing the car by using photos and static cars around autoshows does raise the interest significantly. I see people wondering about the XE almost daily since its release.

 

Not a review but a size up, I expect to see a review sometime this month or at the very latest next month.

Yeah, I read this too. I reckon about February we'll see a load of road tests in the main magazines. After all, the car is now in full production at the new factory in Solihull, near Birmingham, and first sales in the UK in April. I hope our local dealer offer me a drive, they usually do.

The USA doesn't get the car till 2016, so keep your money in the bank, guys, and don't rush off to the Merc/Audi/BMW showrooms, this car is worth it !

 

Yes, I like the look of the XE and as my wife likes it as well, we will consider it once we get a drive in one. The Ftype R is the car I like to drive the most (weather permitting around here), but the XE would be very much a daily driver.
