2017 Jaguar xe still smoking after turbo replacement
Hi everyone, new here. But back in February I had my turbo replaced because the previous one blew. Everything was fine when I got it back but then a week later it started smoking from the hood on the right side. I took it back and they cleaned it and said it could be residual oil and that it will just go away on it own. Well it’s been months and it’s constantly happening. It’s currently in the shop again and they are saying that they couldn’t find anything and that the car is just “older” so it’s going to do that. I don’t trust it. I drive everyday with my 18month daughter and I want to feel safe driving. Has anyone had this issue and can you help please??
I hate to be the bearer of bad news but if it keeps smoking it’s more than likely the engine is worn, the boost from the turbo is bypassing the piston ring pressurizing the crankcase(oil pan area) which is pushing oil into the intake through the Pcv hence the blue smoke. Oil burning smell is because some of those vapors is making it outside the engine.
