The 3.0 Supercharged is quite fast! Had the first hour plus drive yesterday. That car can move and the handling is much better than previous Jag's like the XK. Jaguar has fixed the dampening and spring rates it seems. My XK would be very unsettled in a corner if there was any pavement issues. XE just glides right over it.

Living in northern NJ, the XE's ability to absorb bumps and holes is one of the big reasons I opted for it over competitors. It's almost like they're not even there.

My MSRP sticker was $64,500 and I got it for $59,930 and think that was a great deal? basically $4,500 off sticker.

I bought the CNA wheel and tire coverage. It was $1900 or $2000 and is usable at any tire dealer. You tell the dealer about the coverage, they call CNA, and are paid directly by CNA.

Three weeks after I bought the car one of my rear tires suffered a ripped sidewall, and went completely flat.

I could not find a single NYC tire dealer that had the tire (Pirelli 255/35 R19 96H) in stock. Even the two Jaguar dealerships (Manhattan and Great Neck) did not have the tire. Very, very disappointing!

So I drove home on the donut (Jaguar 24 hour roadside assistance called a locksmith (!) which came and changed the tire for me.), then drove the next day to Great Neck Jaguar, which gave me a loaner, and them, a couple of days later, GNJ drove my car back to Brooklyn and picked up their loaner. It never cost me a dime.

Except for the delay in getting a replacement tire, it was a relatively painless experience.

Hopefully, if and when there are more XE's on the road, it will become easier to find replacement tires.

Question

What is CNA and is there any caps/limits or any other downsides? I want to be prepared to pull the trigger when I pick mine up this week in case the dealer says they don't offer it or they come at me with some story.

CNA is a huge national insurance company. See https://www.cna.com.

Coverage is for 5 years

See brochure at http://conleyinsurance.com/wp-conten...r-Brochure.pdf

Jag gave me AXIS coverage and it was $1,800 for the 5 years and is there premium version of the plan and covers even cosmetics and no caps. I guess that is good?

Sounds good. I would have had to pay several hundred dollars more for cosmetics coverage.

Are you able to replace the tires at any tire dealer, or must you go to a Jaguar dealer?

I am in NJ. I have always bough AUDI's for past 10+ years, they sent me invite for Art of Performance tour at Meadowland Expo in NJ today and drove XE R-Sport on test track it was awesome. I initially went for XF as I have A6 now, but do not need XF as kids are older now.

Looking to buy my first Jaguar, looking at XE R-SPORT and configured MSRP is $58,350. What type of discounting I should expect? I am about to return my A6 as my lease is getting over. Also any suggestions on dealers in NJ? I see that there are only 3 dealers in North/Central NJ.

Thanks
