I am considering to get winter tires. Getting Jag's staggered wheels are not a good idea as they will be scratch prone when I put on chains and 18-20 inch snow tires are expensive.

Was looking for wheel+tire combo deals on tirerack.com etc but maybe due to the rarity of Jaguar XE, they don't have deals readily available.

Bolt pattern wise, Ford, Lincoln, Mazda wheels should match with Jag's. Do you know if I can just get a 17 inch Ford focus wheel + winter tire combo and fit?

 

Chains on an XE? Ok.

According to the following two pages, an XE is compatible with Ford Focus' 17 inch wheel. Their PCD match, their wheel offset match too.
Jaguar XE 17 inch wheel: 7Jx17 ET48.5
Ford Focus 17 inch wheel: 7Jx17 ET50
