Default Disabling Start-Stop

Someone has had good luck with disabling Start-Stop on a new XF:

Don't know if that would be of any help to on XEs, but I figure it's nice to know that someone has done it on a Jaguar

We can disable this the same way the guys did in the F-Pace section.

There is a connector you can simply unplug in the trunk for the auto start/stop function. I just need to locate it in the XE as the F-Pace guys did. The tech at the dealer said he will show it to me when I come to pick my car up. The dealer even thinks this feature is a joke as it start/stops so choppy.

I went with the SW disable from VAP instead. Works flawless!

I bought the handheld tuner device from VAP and just flashed it and now the start/stop feature is now disabled with no side effects.

As per a separate thread re pics and instructions - I disconnected the large grey plug with the one large black wire coming out of it (above the fuse box) (right side of trunk) (above and behind inner trunk liner) and this did the trick. No more Start Stop antics and shaking as the car just idles and does not shut down.

Were you able to pull the wire without removing any of the panels in the trunk? I can see it, and can get my hand around it, but can't seem to get the angle right in order to actually unplug it.

Any tips?

Default Dissabling Start Stop

Hint to better access re pulling the big grey plug. Open up the fuse panel cover and then take out the trunk light holder (easy to pry out) (same side panel above and to the right of the fuse panel).
This gives you the ability to see down from above that plug and where to press on it to release it.
Once out - just cable tie it back to one of the insulated cables

I did it yesterday. was able to look down between trunk door hinge and side panel. Don't want to double post so go look at the thread "Eco On/Off and Secondary Battery". I post some pictures there too...
