Angry Excessive Brake Dust on wheels and body

Is anyone else having excessive brake dust getting all over the wheels and onto the body? I bought this car C.P.O. with 1400 miles and apparently it was sitting on the lot for 2 months without the brakes being used. Could this be a factor? Anyone have a way to deal with this? Its a 2018 XE S with about 2000 miles now.

black spots

caliper looks pretty clean

I thought the XE was an improvement over brake dust from previous Jaguars I owned. That came at a sacrifice of initial grip, but consumer complained about brake dust pre XE in JD Powers reports. I had the same wheels as you do. Give the brakes a few hard stops and wash wheels and calipers thoroughly; including behind the spokes (the next time you wash the car). See if it persists in getting your car dirty. From what I see in the picture, it looks more like water spots carrying dust; be it from brakes or something else.

Did you buy tire/wheel insurance? I went through like 5-6 tires and several bent wheels with that tire/wheel combo. I paid for the policy within the first 6 months and I never had any issue with previous cars. Those tires are quite fragile, but ride nice.

My 2017 XE brakes generate far less dust than my two previous X350s, however they did not have Jaguar brake pads fitted. The lack of brake dust on my car is very gratifying, showing that Jaguar has taken the problem seriously. Might be worth going to the dealer to ask about it, assuming the pads are still the originals.

That looks really odd, especially the dust on the body. I've never seen that before.

With the wheels, those venoms usually dont show much dust at all. One thing you could try is to give the wheels a very gentle clay and then a wax. Waxing the wheels helps keep the dust off and if it gets on it makes it easier to get it off. I dont understand the dust on the body though, I have been obsessing over cars for 30 years and have never had that happen. Just googling it (because I was interested) it seems to pop up where people have race or performance pads on their car, maybe the previous owner put some on.

That isnt brake dust

it's tire dressing or gel. Is it slimy to the touch?
