Default Exhaust systems for 2018 XE?

I love my XE, it's a Jaguar XE 2.0D, just went for my first drive yesterday. One thing I wanted to improve was the noise, due to it being a diesel engine, it wasn't very exciting (which I can live with). So I just wanted to know if anyone has any experience when it comes to choosing an exhaust system or if there are even any on the market for diesel cars?

Any modification to your engine or exhaust system "might" void the warranty on your car

In part, I respectfully disagree.

In a nutshell, legally in layman's speak , "The dealer must prove the aftermarket part caused the failure".

According to the Magnuson-Moss warranty protections for the consumer, there is no legal justification to "void the warranty on your car" by changing the exhaust to another compatible exhaust...an exhaust system is a bolt on part. Now, if you start to have Check Engine Lights due to your aftermarket exhaust not doing its job properly, that's on you, and is not the dealers warranty issue...IF THEY CAN PROVE IT.

I've had my car serviced for a water seal leak under warranty after I've cut out the exhaust resonator, changed the supercharger pulley and aftermarket tuned my 6cyl to 450Hp., (making no secret of it to my Jaguar Service Advisor). It even has Stage II badging trunk and grille, and a large chrome Mina intake staring you in the face right when you open the hood. The dealership knew the seal leak was on them (my leaky seals were not an isolated incident), so they fixed it under warranty and provided a Landrover loaner while doing it.. But experiences vary from dealer to dealer, so be informed. If they give you a hassle, print the below statute out and hand it to their manager.

ECU updates on your car are also enjoying some protection.

Just noticed you're in Great Britain. For you folks, "The following modifications are usually permitted and should not void your warranty, but only when you use approved parts and certified fitting:
  • enlarged brake discs
  • cryo treating the engine
  • most fuel upgrades
  • reboring your engine to increase capacity, raising the RPM and generating more power is permitted but only within specified limits
  • some neon lights are permitted but only if they are not too bright, the tubing is not visible and there is an easily accessible on/off switch
  • adding larger rims or alloy wheels
  • exhaust upgrade with silencer
  • number plate change, as long as you stay within current legislation regarding format, spacing, font and size
  • spoilers, as long as they are of legal size and appropriately fitted
  • tinted windows that fall within the legal limits for opacity"
