Did anyone else receive a message from the Incontrol App today that Spotify would be pulled on September 30, 2019? Was the only reason to use the Incontrol Apps to be honest. Obviously can still use BT, but was handy to have the interface. Any idea of they are replacing it was another service? With those with the newer stuff, you get CarPlay or AndroidAuto so doesn't matter.

 

I use Spotify on my mobile phone here in the UK. It works pretty good over the mobile phone network I use, or I can download, as I pay the fee. I wasn't even aware you could have it on one's Incontrol app ! I link from mobile to car via the Bluetooth link.

 

Yup. have to have the app installed on the phone and when you plug into the USB, gives you full control of Spotify including downloaded and online content. Works pretty well. Sound no different than BT since at least on Android the sound is still using BT even though its plugged in. Enjoy for 3 more days evidently.

 

I think it may have already started. Today< I had to use the BT link in Mode Or Source options. It also changed from my Spotify song to the FM radio (Don't have Sirius XM) when the back-up camera came on. Not sure if coincidence or something else.

 

Same here got a notification the other day. Opened the remote apps today and saw it being removed.

I loved using the spotify integration:-(

That's two apps gone in the last few months in-dash by tomtom and now this.

 

What was the other app that was removed?
