Default Jaguar XE 25t Oil Change

Hello All,

I've been watching videos on Jaguar oil changes, and for the XJ, the oil can be removed using a fluid extractor without removing the under-body panel. Can the oil for the XE 25T be changed the same way? For reference, the videos are linked below. Thank you all!!!

This is a negative. If you have a four cylinder vehicle, you have to drain from bottom. There was no design to suck engine oil out like V6 and V8 XJ.

Thanks a lot Rummy! Do you know if oil changes can be sucked out with the 35t?

If i remember correctly, a 35t should have an AJ126 S/C V6 engine. If so, then it can be sucked out from the oil cap. Id have to research the nomenclature and correlation compared to engines.

Is there a particular reason why you cant do this on the IL4? My understanding is that most garages do this anyway. Not sure how healthy it is for the engine given that youre likely to accumulate a bunch of particulates on the bottom of the sump.

It can technically be done through dipstick with long sucker that seals at top of dipstick, but as per the Jaguar way, they want you to drain the oil. The dipstick way isnt designed to get out all the oil out of the IL4; whereas the AJ126 and 133 have the design built in. Anything can be done, but I'd rather do it the correct way IMO
