Default Jaguar xe auto gearbox

Folks

Can I pick your brains …

My wife has a Jaguar XE R-Sport, 2015, with low mileage.

We’ve notices recently the automatic gearbox gear changes are really ‘jerky’, particularly when the car is cold & when decelerating/under braking.

I’m hoping this is nothing too sinister, but have any of you experienced this ?

Thank you.

Davie

I have a 18' R-Sport AWD and live on a slight hill. I pull out and go uphill. The car starts out in 2nd then the first shift (2->3) is a little stiff and jerks nearly everytime. This only happens that one time during the drive on a cold car.

If your car is 40K - 50K miles I would look into the ATF for it's loosing the characteristics to lubricate gears.
