Default Lip Spoiler Upgrade

I just installed one of these with good results. Its a Custom Carbon Fiber lip spoiler for the XE. Pretty affordable at $239.00 shipped, ships from China.

Amazon Amazon

" B Style"

What motivated me was the Project 8 "Touring" saw some form of spoiler was required, so their factory XE computer wind modeling and "maybe" Tunnel Tests prove the spoiler helps.

The end result is really night and day...the spoiler really helps keep the car "planted", with better results the faster you go over 50mph.

I used to undulate quite a bit around a big "Sweeper" approach to the tollway at 100 Mph from North 183 where the curve is not very well banked, after the Lip Spoiler install it really feels nailed down with noticeably less bounce, and I hit higher speeds with much more control.

Really 'blown away' by the improvement (pun intended.) It feels like a different car at speed.

Now the only debate I have about it is whether to get it painted or not...I thought I would for sure before I saw the CF finish was actually OK to Good quality.

I love the look of that spoiler! Did you have the small spoiler (R-Sport)? and if so was it hard to remove?

If i ever did this, I would paint it since my car is Ingot and want the car to look stock but better.

Thanks!

I was very happy that it was designed to match the shape of the rear of the car. (See poor MS Paint illustration in yellow below.)

It was mounted to a "clean" trunk.

As good as it looks, it improves the drive feel that much more. I was able to evaluate it for 100 Mi yesterday out on TX-71 on my way to see Josh at Exotic Power and Performance to order my Velocity AP Pulley upgrade. Great shop! Great Guy! https://www.exoticpower.net/

The point is, the car feels leaps and bounds (jaguar pun) better to drive after the spoiler. Or maybe I should more accurately that it has LESS "leaps and bounds." ? Anyhow, its great!
