My name is Zoltán and I am from Hungary. I apologize in advance for the wording, but I am using a translation program. I am contacting you with the following problem:
A dear friend of mine has a Jaguar XE 2.0 diesel 2016.
I have a Mongoose pro 164 cable+sdd Software. Clone ordered from China.
The moment I connect the Cable to the car and turn on the ignition, the car goes crazy, beeping back and forth and filling its brain with errors.
ABS not available, Emergency brake assist not available, Forward alert not available messages.
Unfortunately, I cannot delete these error codes. I had to take the car to a JAG service. The errors were deleted there, the car is error-free again.
Later, I put the Mongoose Clone back on the car and the above error messages appeared immediately.
I have a feeling that since the cable is not original, it causes some confusion in the CAN Bus communication.
I don't dare to experiment anymore because I don't want any ECU, one or more participants to fail due to a bad cable.
The jaguar is a rather rare car in Hungary, so the number of specialist services is also very few and you have to travel a lot to have a fault cleared. I read about the above errors in other forums, but there they suspected the ABS sensor, camera, weak battery, but for me these errors clearly occur when I connect the Mongoose.
Could I be doing something wrong during the connection, or could the cable really be bad?
I've already read the related posts, but I couldn't find a concrete solution. If my post is in the wrong place, please move it!
