Rear Camera deactivated - Need support
Good evening all,
My name is Pierre and I am new here
After long research and many tries, I didn't succeed.
I would need your special support!
I have a Jaguar XE 2.0d 2016 with in control system entertainment (small screen). The rear camera doesn't work anymore.
The message is "please contact your dealer" by starting. If I click on "Camera" or on the button (left of the screen): no reaction.
1. If cable are disconnected -> it should be blue screen acc. to my research
2. Idk how to make factory reset of the car/system entertainment
Any idea?
Thank you for your help!

Hi Pierre,
I have no direct experience with this issue, but I remember reading about several people who've had the wiring harness fail somewhere in the boot lid. Apparently this was relatively common on early XEs and I think it was an easy fix - some google searches should help. I've also seen people say that faulty parking sensors caused this error.
From memory there is a 'data reset' option that will delete settings and bluetooth connections etc, but I don't think there's a 'factory reset' option available without SDD or Pathfinder (expesive Jaguar diagostic tools).
Hope that helps

Hello 👋
Thank you very much for your fast answer!
I read it as well. About the cables in the bot, I have double checked this weekend. All seems OK. And I don't think it is a cable issue because otherwise, it should be a blue screen.
The parking sensor are well working fyi so far. Excepted that the button (left on the screen) about "sensor" can't light in orange anymore.
It could be connected but I don't understand how

I'd suggest hooking the car up to a fault code reader and posting the reported codes here, as that will give people more information to try and help you. You should be able to have a Jag dealer or mechanic do this for a small fee, or maybe your local auto parts store will read the codes for you.
