Default XE 35t Exhaust droning

Hi all,

Wondering if I'm getting old an grumpy or if this is "normal" for this car. There is a fairly loud exhaust drone inside the car at 1300-1500 rpm. Happens when the car is under load - meaning not noticable just revving to that level when sitting still.

I don't mind a bit of growl but this is very peaky at this rpm range. Higher or lower it's much quieter.

Car only has 13k miles so nothing is worn out.
Any thoughts or experience? I'm having it examined by the dealer next week.

None on v-6 with 8k miles. Make sure no mounts or hangers are loose.

Dealer found a loose heat shield. Tightening it up helped. The resonance is still there but is tolerable now.

good to know. you really should have no drone with stock setup at all. OEM guys go out of their way to prevent such annoyance, of course that is likely why oem systems are quite heavy.
