Any help is greatly appreciated. 2018 XE 30t has a random clicking noise coming from behind front drivers side wheel well. Pulled tire off and identified what appears to be a pump that pulses and causes the clicks. The number PA66 30GF is on it but can’t find anything similar matching it. Any advice on what this is and how to fix it?
Those appear to be the engine mounts. I just realized my front left engine mount is bad because the engine sometimes idles badly and I hear a popping sound coming from the engine mounts. The mounts seem to be easy to replace if you jack up the vehicle, then jack up the engine carefully with a block of wood to spread out the force. They come out sideways after you remove the three bolts on each mount. The hose should be reattached properly after you replace the engine mounts. This should fix the problem. I have a 2017 XE 20d 2.0L diesel and will be performing this replacement once the parts are delivered. They were about $100 U.S. dollars for the set.
The noise disappears after the engine heats up. The noise only increases in volume as the RPM go up, not in speed/frequency, or at least not perceivably so.
