My 2016 XE V6 is about to go in for it's last free service, which coincides with the expiration of the extended warranty. As this is my last chance to have things fixed for free, is there anything I should insist the dealer checks?

 

Cooling system in detail, I would ask for diagnostics on the AEB, AND other electronic systems. I had a fault that was not repeatable in my AEB and was able to get a 12 month extension in writing from the service manager on that system (100% for the first 3 months, 80% there after).

In general, I would look at the car in detail and make a list.

 

Check the rear differential for leaks around the pinion seals, it was a common issue on the earlier cars, but no harm in checking.
