Default E550 trade for XE

Thoughts guys looking to unite the XK with a new playmate being the XE at the expense of my 07 e550

Took a look at some today and I'm pretty impressed

Why did the masochist love his 10-year old E550? Because it felt so good after the pain in his wallet from the cost of repairs stopped. To me, it's a no-brainer. The XE has newer and better technology, is way more fun to drive, and has a warranty. A 10-year old MBZ is a money pit.

The opposing argument is that the XE will cost more because its depreciation and insurance will exceed the cost of the fully-depreciated E550's repairs, maintenance and insurance. And, of course, it's a Mercedes. I'd still go for the XE.

You asked the question, but I think you already knew the answer.

I need to make a replacement too, but the used XE's are too new for my wallet, it needs more time to depreciate.

Kj I'm kind of at the cross roads in terms of this is probably the last year I will be able to get a decent trade .

Next year the car will be official 11yrs old and would have crossed that 200k km barrier making any form of sale next to impossible !

Talk to me towards the end of my lease. If the buyout price makes sense; it's all yours (or anyone else here on the forum). Garaged all the time...
