Default Xe sat nav issue

I have just bought a 2017 XE R Sport, first 2 days the Sat Nav worked fine. Today when I switch it on it comes up saying" Navigation Activating" but it just stays on that screen and the Nav maps dont come up. Any help or advice would be appreciated.
Thanks

If your system has a SIM card in the storage bin, try carefully ejecting it and reinserting. My system has the 4G option, and I’ve seen it drop the connection until I reconnect the SIM card. I didn’t lose Nav, but music streaming, etc. but I think my InControl Touch Pro system isn’t what you have.

Another option, more common on the F-type forum, is to disconnect the battery for 30 seconds, then reconnect. This guarantees the Nav system will reboot.

Thanks you for taking the time to reply to mu issue, I have tried the sim card in and out as you suggest still the same. I will try the 30 minute battery disconnect next, can you tell me that doing this will not affect any settings etc in the car. Cheers

It probably will. But I'm guessing you want your navigation more than worrying about losing a few settings that you can just re-input yourself.

30 seconds is adequate. In the F-type, the windows sometimes have to be reset- the auto-up stops working. Don’t know if that applies to the XE as I haven’t had to reboot the car. If so, there should be a window reset procedure in the manual.
