Wondering if Jag are planning to update the software to allow some voice commands for SAT/NAV? I see posts indicating it does work on the basic Intouch. Seems odd - you would think it would be the other way around....Good old Jag.

 

According to my salesman they were working on this for the better part of a year. You can use one of the InControl Apps to do this but the default NAV currently doesn't support this and is lacking for sure.

My dealer's service manager, who I chat with often, informed me that there is a patch being released soon to address issues directly related to the default NAV system. He said he has not been informed of all of the corrections it will make, but stated that he would Txt me when the patch is released to get this applied to my car. TBC

 

I have the latest software in my XE as of this morning from service which is the long awaited version 3.0 and I can check this for you if you give me the steps, please.

My ICTP looks all new with this 3.0 version and has some neat Apple/Android settings now which is very neat.

 

Big Cat, does your car have the 8" or 10" screen?

 

I have the 10" ICTP.

 

I have the ICTP 10" and on a side note I just updated my navi software by myself from jags journeys site so now I have the 3.0 software you all were waiting to get and the latest navi maps update too.

 

I am shocked that voice control navigation does not work. I have a totally useless tech package with an oversized screen. Of course the $2 suction cup allows me to attach my iPhone, so I can use Google Maps - thanks for the flat surface (read sarcasm).

I'm really regretting leaving Acura for this...

Sure, just go to this link and sign in. Then click on maps and follow it from there. I got all the latest for free for my ICTP 10" Navi. IT was super easy to do also.
