XE vs Alfa Romeo Giulia Ti

At my local Italian Car Day this summer there were about 7-8 QV's that showed up. Amazing car. Looks to be a great value if considering the engineering, design, and execution. Hard to want a Maserati if you get a chance to drive both. With AR in F1 next season, I like where Sergio is road mapping the marque. Took WAY TOO LONG, but they more focused on a pinpoint brand identity than they are with Maserati. I hope a "6C" comes out at some point under a 100K.
If Only Jaguar could partner with Williams and bring it to McLaren and AM with Williams/Jaguar branded sports cars to market.

as good as the giulia qv is, if the 6c is as hot as the renderings, I will buy it as soon as it is released. it will be a stunner!!!

I'd really like to drive XE S with the 380 horsepower engine and 2 wheel drive... might be a lighter car with better handling... with better acceleration on par (from a hp to weight ratio) with the F Type S. Overall, a less expensive alternative to the Quad, faster than the Ti better steering than the M series, and better interior than the ATS.

The 2018 XES RWD must be a great car...I purchased the car that they don't make anymore, a 2017 RWD 35T (not an s) and love the handling. I speculate that when Jag found out the aftermarket tune made the 35T faster than any of the 'S' products, for ten thousand less, they just decided to quit marketing the six cylinder in an entry level trim in 2018.
Is it as good as a AWD ...probably not, but god I love the fishtails and drifting...
If you can find a 2017 35T it will save you ten grand. They come with 340HP but can easily be tuned up to 400HP like the F-Type...or beyond if you wish.
If you get the 2018 S, it can also be tuned from 380 to about 416hp if you like...without any mechanical changes.
But the fun factor on a high powered rwd is hard to beat!

Motortrend car of the year should help the Alfa with notoriety and identity here stateside.
I can tell you I have seen multiple (print and web) media comparos that always list the small sedan usual suspects while omitting the Jaguar. It does push my buttons a little. Oh well, the cost of exclusivity I suppose.
