Hi all. Have owned many Jaguars and currently own an E-Type, and XJC and an XJS. I recently changed location and now I need to drive 200km a day for work. I don’t want to put 1000km a week on my classics or on my relatively new 4wd. So looking for a relatively cheap, reliable and economical daily driver. The XF 2.2s are now sub $15k and on paper looks like it should be economical. What are your thoughts on whether or not this is a crazy idea?

 

The 2.2 diesel was an engine used in the pre-2015 X250 model, there is a forum for the X250 on this site.
I'd add that the 2.2 is a pretty damn good engine and fairly bulletproof

 

Had 2.2D on my van. Passed it forward when it had +440t km on clock and it still run like a new.
