Jaguar XF 2.2 Diesel Review: CarAdvice
Sir William Lyons, Jaguar founder, said from day one that his company was in the business of making ‘Beautiful Fast Cars’ and that’s pretty much what they’ve been doing for years, give or take the odd hiccup.

0-60 in 8 to 8.5 seconds with a 2.2 liter four cylinder 4,000 lb car is a miracle. Everybody who has driven this 2.2 is amazed.
In North America we would never have to buy one. The slowest V8 is the 4.2 naturally aspirated which does 0 60 in 6.2 seconds, very quick.

Well, bear in mind that's a turbo diesel which is not quicker than the XFR or XF SC. What's impressive is the turbo diesel blows the doors off the naturally aspirated gasoline engine and delivers much higher fuel economy. (well, it is quicker but not into blow the doors off quicker...).
