Normally -Cold start. Car starts up revvs high for a little then back down to normal idle. Think this is normal so I just wait to start driving till idle comes down to a steady idle everytime. But recently

The Problem: Once driving for a while and cars warm, At a stop sign, car will rev up and down for a while, then idle normal again(sometimes)! but usually if it doesn’t stop on it’s own and it’s revving up and down for a while, if I put it back into park it will stop revving like that and go back to steady idle? This happened everytime I drive now.

Also some times while driving steadily it will suddenly either lose acceleration for a second then back to accelerating normal, or it will thrust an acceleration up while driving. Not as common as a problem but does happen from time to time.

 

You have the earlier version of the XF and this forum is for the face lifted model.
