Default 2016 XF R Sport AWD transmission story

Hi
I wanted to share my story with you all and see if anyone else had a similar experience (2016 Jaguar XF R Sport AWD with 26k miles at the time of the incident).

In Feb 2020, I was on my way to work and a few miles from home, I heard a terrible grinding noise and my car went from 35 mph to 0 in a matter of seconds, it felt like I had run over a small car and it destroyed my under carriage. Car refused to move more than an inch in either direction. The front wheels were locked up, tow truck had to drag it up on the flat bed.
Gets to the dealer, and find out that the entire front differential is cracked from an interior malfunction (don't know much about exact workings), but was told that a part failed inside and pretty much exploded the differential from the inside. There was no previous warning of any abnormal sounds or driving issues, literally came out of the blue. Car was serviced exactly 2 weeks prior for CEL and replaced a bad O2 sensor.

Long story short, it took three weeks to get the parts from the UK and my car back.
Driving like a dream now, 6 k miles later, but I will always have that worry in the back of mind of my transmission blowing on a busy highway.
Thoughts?

My sympathy and 3 quick thoughts
1 total random fluke of a bad casting, no reason to fear it happening to anyone again
2 I think the R Sport is more powerful than my plain old XF so maybe some added stress to the driveline opened the crack.
3 Does anyone know if the R Sport has a stronger trans/differential?

And thank for letting us know about the incident. I had a college professor years ago who said he was shot down over the Atlantic and floated in a life raft for days. He said the only thing that kept him going was thinking what a great story it would make later.

I didn't add that it was on my first day at my new job! I was late by about 4 hours!
