2017 Jaguar XF 35t R-Sport AWD
Continue on my endeavor to find the right XF, test drove this 2017 on saturday, has all the bells and windows i want, only 29,000 miles and body is in decent shape minus a few scratches and one door ding. The interior is spotless. The price is $23.9k but i know they have some wiggle room. Thoughts, watch outs, etc. thanks in advance
Wow that is really low milage. I thought I did well finding one with less than 60K.
I have not had it long enough to find any real issues. I would look to see if it has been serviced regularly, the interval is so long, with that milage it will only have had 1 or 2 if they stuck to the book. One reason I got this one was the 5k oil changes.
I would also expect the tires to be original and getting old and hard, may look fine but will be like driving on plastic wheels.
Not something you can do a lot about, but remember that the InControl system was based on 3G connectivity so now that will be relegated to 2G if it is still subscribed to.
Check the oil level, I hate the electronic dipstick, within a few days it can go from max to being 2 bars below and then show over filled.
I think I over paid for mine due to the 1 owner, color, options and the servicing and that was 23.7 with 52K so I think the price is ok for that milage, but the door dent could be costly to repair depending on how bad it is. Carfax will probably say a private sale is around $20K so you could use that in your negotiations if you haven't pulled one for the car yet.
Otherwise just the usual, coolant pipes, supercharger pully and battery.

Yea if i decide to pursue it further figure i will take to the local Range Rover dealership for a pre purchase inspection, took it out for a drive and the ride was actually pretty smooth. My initial thoughts would be to offer $20k as stated and see if i can get it for that.
